Calendar

Month, week and day views over your tasks and deal close dates, with quick add, drag-to-reschedule, keyboard shortcuts, filtering and shareable URLs.

The calendar is one view over two things you already have: tasks with a due date and deals with a close date. Nothing is stored for the calendar itself — it reads crm_tasks.due_at and crm_deals.close_date, so anything scheduled anywhere in Clivly appears here without a second step.

Undated records are left out rather than bucketed under today. A task with no due date has not been scheduled, and putting it on an arbitrary day would invent a deadline nobody set.

Three views

Switch between Month, Week and Day from the view menu in the header. The header also shows the range in view with its task and deal counts.

  • Month shows whole weeks, including the neighbouring months' days, with each item's time, past items dimmed, and a +N more control on busy days. Hover a day to add a task to it.
  • Week and Day show a 24-hour grid, with each item positioned at the time it is actually due. Today's column carries a line marking the current time, which moves as the day does. The grid opens scrolled to the current time when today is in view, or to the start of the working day otherwise — not to midnight, which would open on an empty screen.

The arrows either side of the date step by whatever the current view shows — a month, a week, or a single day — and Today returns to now in whichever view you are in.

Quick add

Type a phrase in the quick-add bar — for example Call Acme thu 3pm !high — and Clivly shows exactly what it understood as chips (title, day, time, priority) plus a dashed placeholder where the task will land, before anything is created. Press Enter to create it. The parser is deliberately small: anything it doesn't recognise stays in the title rather than being guessed.

Keyboard shortcuts

Shortcuts stand down while you are typing, inside a dialog or menu, or with a modifier key held.

Times, time zones and the all-day lane

A task's due date can carry a time. Set one from the due-date control or quick add; leave it out and the task is all-day.

Times are shown in your own time zone, set under Settings → Profile → Time zone — the calendar, task due times and what counts as "today" all follow it, in every workspace. All-day dates are calendar dates and never shift between zones.

All-day items — and every deal close date, which has no time — appear in a lane above the time grid rather than inside it.

Note

Tasks now record whether they are all-day explicitly. Older tasks, written before times existed, are stored at midnight UTC and still read as all-day, and deals have only a date — without the all-day lane that backlog would stack on the 00:00 row and look like a rendering bug.

Filtering

The filter bar narrows what the calendar shows, without changing any record:

  • Tasks and Deals toggle each kind. You cannot turn both off.
  • Priority filters tasks by high / medium / low. Deals are never hidden by a priority filter — priority is a task-only concept, and hiding every deal behind it would read as the deals having vanished.
  • Owner filters by assignee, including an Unassigned bucket.
  • Show completed tasks is on by default; turn it off to see only open work.

Clearing a filter always widens the result. An empty owner or priority list means "no filter", never "match nothing".

The URL is the state

Every view, filter and selection lives in the query string, so a filtered calendar can be bookmarked, shared, or reloaded without losing its state.

A malformed value falls back to its default rather than blanking the page, so a hand-edited or truncated link still opens something sensible.

Rescheduling

Drag a card to move it. In Month view, dropping it on another day keeps its time of day — moving a 9:30am task to Thursday leaves it at 9:30am. In Week and Day view, dropping it on the grid sets the time as well as the day, snapped to 15 minutes; dropping it on the all-day row makes it all-day. The card moves immediately and the change is saved in the background; if the save fails it returns to where it was and tells you why.

Every move offers Undo in the confirmation toast.

With a card focused, hold Alt and press ← or → to move it one day at a time — the same operation, for anyone not using a mouse, in every view.

Rescheduling writes to the underlying record: a task's due date or a deal's close date. It is the same edit you would make from the record itself.

The sidebar

Beside the grid:

  • a mini month, with a dot per kind of item and the week in view shaded;
  • Overdue tasks, which you can tick off (with undo);
  • the selected day's agenda, in full, with no per-cell limit — the answer to "what is actually on today" when a month cell has run out of room. You can add a task to that day from its header;
  • Up next, with relative days and deal values.

Creating from the grid

In Week and Day view, hover any empty hour and a + appears — click it to create a task due at that exact hour, on that day. It is the same quick-create form as the sidebar's, just pre-filled with the slot you clicked instead of the selected day.

On a small screen

Below a certain width, Month view swaps its grid for a scrollable strip of day numbers — tap one to point the sidebar's agenda at it, which is where the day's items actually list on a small screen. Week and Day view keep their grid, and scroll it sideways when there isn't room for every column at once.
